- Your Little Shoe
- Whole Lotta Love – all acid etching on steel plate
I sat outside a café
the dog at my feet
as the sun moved behind a cloud
a thought came to me –
if someone told me I had an incurable disease
all I’d want is
to ask if I could hold you one more time
Haven’t been able to get to studio much, so I’ve been making some monotypes
give me back that night
the night when I knew you were going
I read to you as you lay next to me
I read even though my throat was dry
and my heart was breaking
I read and read
begging inside that you wouldn’t sleep
and the night would never end
because I knew this would be the last time
I’d be here with you
acrylic on paper – each A4
