Just returned from a 2 week visit to Tokyo with my daughter Bambi (http://bambigoodman.tumblr.com/). We were there for our exhibition at Wish Less Gallery (http://wish-less.com/) in Tabata, Tokyo. Whilst we were there we did lots of sight-seeing, Bambi leading the way as she’s visited before.
We attended our private view and also did live painting and poetry reading in the gallery where we met some of Rob and Yoko’s fabulous friends. The gallery is run by the wonderful Rob Kidney and Yoko Nagai, who were amazing hosts; they took us to some fabulous restaurants where we ate the most tasty food imaginable; and showed us authentic places off the beaten tourist track.
I also had the privilege of doing some live projected collaborative painting with Rob with live music accompaniment at the Art Spy Festival held at Musashino Art University. Bambi and i also got interviewed and photographed by Masaru Ishiura from TGB Labs for his on-line magazine. We were also interviewed by a representative from Isetan Department stores; there is a distinct possibility of our work being shown in their stores across Japan, as well as being placed on packaging etc.
