Next, performance poet Gary Goodman and guitarist Sam Collins told a tragicomic tale of mundane failure akin to Morrissey’s spitefully comic verse. With great lines such as, “Christmas approached as surely as a nutcase on the bus,” this was a Bizarro World Patti Smith and Kevin Shields with added gallows humour.
